DentalGoodNews|August 5, 2026 - Shared Practices Group (hereinafter referred to as "SPG"), a U.S. Dental Service Organization (DSO) focused on dental implants, announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with private equity firm M-One Capital, which has made a minority equity investment in the company. The capital and resource support from this partnership will be used to expand the partner clinic network, strengthen technology and clinical support infrastructure, and enhance operational, marketing, and administrative services for dentists.
Founded in 2021 and headquartered in Sarasota, Florida, SPG is a dentist-founded and dentist-led dental support organization (DSO). The company originated from the Shared Practices Podcast dental community launched in 2017 and has established partnerships with 48 affiliated practices across 26 states nationwide. SPG helps dentists focus on clinical care by providing training, administrative, marketing, technology, and operational support.
In terms of equity structure, SPG was co-founded by six dentist partners, with Dr. Alex Sharp serving as Chief Executive Officer. The company stated that following the introduction of external capital, SPG will maintain its clinical and brand independence, and its core leadership team and dentist-led patient care philosophy will remain unchanged. Dr. Alex Sharp stated that this partnership aims to position SPG as one of the largest dental implant service platforms in the United States.
M-One Capital, the investor in this round, was formerly known as McCarthy Capital and completed its brand rebranding in 2025. Headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, the firm primarily partners with founders and management teams to provide capital and strategic support to businesses. Thomas Sudyka, Vice President of M-One Capital, stated that SPG has built a differentiated platform with advantages for sustained growth.
According to previous reports by DGN, the U.S. dental DSO M&A market recorded over 175 transactions in the first half of 2026, with a consolidation rate of 35%. The U.S. dental DSO industry is currently in an active phase of capital consolidation and model innovation. As of the time of writing, SPG has not disclosed the specific valuation or closing timeline for this financing round.
