Recently, the Department of Industry and Information Technology of Jiangsu Province released the "Public Notice on the Proposed List of Advanced-Level Intelligent Factories in Jiangsu Province for 2026". Gaofeng Medical Devices (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "GF MEDICAL GROUP") was successfully selected for its project, "Intelligent Factory for Oral Medical Device Production Based on Networked Collaboration and Intelligent Flexible Manufacturing Characteristics". Prior to this, GF MEDICAL GROUP was recognized as a "Jiangsu Province Demonstration Intelligent Workshop" in 2024, and this advanced-level recognition represents a phased achievement in this series of strategic initiatives.

For GF MEDICAL GROUP, which serves nearly 300 dental laboratories and multiple dental hospitals nationwide, this recognition reflects a systematic and sustained investment. It is reported that since 2022, GF MEDICAL GROUP has initiated the construction of its intelligent factory, investing over 100 million yuan cumulatively to address the personalized customization needs of oral medical devices.

On the production front, GF MEDICAL GROUP has introduced intelligent flexible equipment such as milling-turning composite machining centers. Through modularization, group technology, and production line reconfiguration, it has achieved high-speed, high-precision automated machining of products such as implant abutments and dental crowns. On the R&D front, it has applied EXOCAD digital dental restoration tools and a full-process product data system to enhance R&D collaboration efficiency, flexible production line configuration, and precise control capabilities. At the network architecture level, a heterogeneous convergence solution combining "workshop fieldbus + industrial Ethernet + 5G" has been adopted to achieve full-element interconnection among equipment, testing instruments, and management systems.

In addition, GF MEDICAL GROUP's unified digital production management platform integrates planning and scheduling, manufacturing execution, and quality traceability functions, driving scheduling optimization and predictive maintenance. It has also deployed industrial firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and security situational awareness platforms to establish a comprehensive security protection system.

It is reported that after the completion of this system, GF MEDICAL GROUP has achieved significant improvements in the CNC penetration rate of key equipment, production efficiency, and sales revenue. Operating costs per unit of output value and comprehensive energy consumption have declined notably, product defect rates have been effectively reduced, and the on-time delivery rate for suppliers and orders has approached 100%.
