DentalGoodNews｜On May 27, 2026, data on industrial enterprise profits for January-April 2026 released by the National Bureau of Statistics showed that the total profit of industrial enterprises above the designated size nationwide increased by 18.2% year-on-year, accelerating by 2.7 percentage points compared to the January-March period.

Among them, high-tech manufacturing played a leading role, with achievements in high-quality development in the medical field becoming evident. The profit of the dental equipment and appliance manufacturing industry increased by 25.0% year-on-year, while the profit of the sanitary materials and pharmaceutical products manufacturing industry achieved a 24.0% year-on-year growth.

Based on publicly available data, the profit growth rate of the dental equipment and appliance manufacturing industry from January to April was 6.8 percentage points higher than that of all industrial enterprises above the designated size, and 4.6 percentage points higher than the overall manufacturing sector, but 19.8 percentage points lower than the overall high-tech manufacturing sector.

According to previous reports by DENTALGOODNEWS (Leading Dental Industry Media, DGN), the profit of the dental equipment and appliance manufacturing industry for the full year of 2025 grew by 29.7% year-on-year. The profit growth rate of dental equipment manufacturing was 29.1 percentage points higher than that of all industrial enterprises above the designated size, 24.7 percentage points higher than the overall manufacturing sector, and 16.4 percentage points higher than the overall high-tech manufacturing sector.

It is worth noting that Yu Weining, Chief Statistician of the Industrial Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, pointed out that the contradiction between strong supply and weak demand in the domestic market remains prominent, and some enterprises still face operational difficulties. In the next phase, it is necessary to fully implement the decisions and deployments of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council, and strengthen macroeconomic policy adjustments.
