China Dental Valley - West China School of Stomatology Science and Technology Innovation Special Project Holds First Batch of Matchmaking, Involving Over 50 Million Yuan

DentalGoodNews | On March 10, 2026, the first batch of 2026 "China Dental Valley - West China School of Stomatology Science and Technology Innovation Transformation Special Fund" project matchmaking and exchange activity, featuring the two-way "Enterprise Seeks Technology" and "Achievement Seeks Market" model, was held at West China School of Stomatology, Sichuan University. The event presented 16 high-quality "Achievement Seeks Market" projects and 10 "Enterprise Seeks Technology" key technology needs, covering core fields such as prosthodontics, orthodontics, and implant dentistry, involving project funds exceeding 50 million yuan.

This activity was conducted using the two-way "Enterprise Seeks Technology" and "Achievement Seeks Market" model. During the roadshow stage, both the hospital and enterprises actively interacted. Enterprise representatives inquired about specific issues such as converting technology investment into equity and establishing joint ventures to advance projects. Several projects reached preliminary cooperation intentions on-site.

Since West China School of Stomatology and China Dental Valley signed a deepening cooperation agreement in 2025, the first batch of the special fund has solicited over 60 cooperation demands. Relevant officials stated that both sides will continue to utilize the science and technology innovation transformation special fund platform, improve the two-way matchmaking mechanism, accelerate the implementation of intended projects, and bridge the "last mile" for scientific research achievements to move from the laboratory to the production line and into clinical application.

China Dental Valley is an oral health industry cluster centered on Ziyang High-tech Zone, which has been continuously promoting hospital-region cooperation in recent years to guide the transformation of scientific research achievements into the industrial sector. According to a previous report by DGN, during the 2026 Sichuan Two Sessions, Sichuan Provincial People's Congress deputy Xu Yanan called for building "China Dental Valley" into a provincial core hub for the medical device industry and suggested optimizing the online procurement policies for medical consumables to support the innovative development of the local industry.
